Uniform Questions

I've been getting a lot of questions about uniforms, and as we have a lot of new players this season I want to make sure everyone's got the same info.

BAC wears two jerseys, a blue "home" jersey and a white "away" jersey. We shifted to a new uniform kit in the Fall, but if you still have the old uniform, you can still use that as the colors are the same.

If you need a uniform, this link will take you to the ordering form for the uniform kit you need:

https://shop.burkesports.com/groups/1171-bac-soccer-uniforms/products

The kit includes 2 jerseys (1 blue & 1 white), and then blue and white soccer socks. Shorts are not included, but any athletic shorts (or sweatpants if it’s cold) are fine. Jerseys are for game days only. You don’t need to wear them to practice at this age unless your coach asks you to.

You can get any number you want on the jersey, or no number at all. It’s whatever you guys want to do. The numbers don’t matter at this level.

Other than uniforms, make sure your child has shin guards (required), cleats (recommended) or athletic shoes, a water bottle and a size 3 (for U7/8s) or size 4 (for U9/10 and U11/12s) soccer ball. Please label your water bottle and soccer ball with your name as these frequently get left behind by accident and/or have the potential to get mixed up.

Please reach out if you have questions (smitters@hotmail.com).

Roster Notifications Going Out This Week for U7/8 & U9/10 Boys

BAC's U7/8 (2015-2016) and U9/10 (2013-2014) boys coaches were given their rosters last night (3/9) so you should be hearing from them within the next week. If you are registered in one of those age groups, and you haven't heard anything by March 16th, please reach out and let me know (smitters@hotmail.com). We continue to grow as a club with 9 teams in both the U7/8 and U9/10 age groups, and we're very excited about what the spring season will bring. Be sure to thank your volunteer coaches because this doesn't happen without their participation.

As a reminder, practices will likely not begin until the end of March or early April with regular season games starting April 15th. Age group training schedules have not been published yet, but historically these have occurred Mondays and Wednesdays and will start the week of April 10th. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Still Time to Register for the Spring Soccer Season

On-time registration for BAC's spring soccer season has concluded, but there are still a few open spots in the U7/8, U9/10 and U11/12 boys age groups if you have friends that are looking to get into soccer this season. As of 4 pm on Saturday (3/4), we can still take four additional players in U7/8s (2015-2016), six additional players in U9/10s (2013-2014) and six additional players in U11/12s (2011-2012). We're also still looking for assistant coaches, particularly in U9/10 and U11/12, so if you're looking to volunteer, please consider signing up.

Here's the link to register!
